Association Peršman

The Association Peršman was founded in Klagenfurt in 2001 to make the public aware of the merits of the resistance of the Austrians, particularly the Carinthian Slovenes, to National Socialism, and to contribute to its scientific research. The association cooperates in the analysis of the Nazi and resistance history and is in close contact with institutions and memorial sites worldwide.

Through manifold projects the association pursues the goal to strengthen people’s courage of their convictions – it takes a vehement and public stand against present-day extreme right and fascist trends. Above all, the Association Peršman promotes the further development and operation of the museum and the memorial site Peršman farmstead in Bad Eisenkappel/Železna Kapla – the only museum in Austria in commemoration of the Carinthian Slovenes’ history of persecution and resistance at the time of National Socialism.
